The Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens is a calm afternoon walk, a romantic picnic, an artist’s backdrop, or a hiker’s launching pad. The 70 rand entrance fee is well worth the visit, and in summers you can even catch a concert or movie outdoors. It’s a great place to stop and smell the proteas.
