Kasteelspoort

Table Mountain takes on a different form when approaching from Camps Bay. Instead of the prominent table top, the Twelve Apostles take center stage. The Kasteelpoort Trail showcases the stunning colors of the Atlantic Ocean. This trail ends near the old cable station with a great photo op at the diving board. I’m not sure if this side of the mountain is more exposed or if we hiked on an unseasonably warm September day, but the sun beat down on us for a few hours. I recommend bringing plenty of water and starting out earlier. Regardless of when you go, the views are spectacular!
