Maclear's Beacon

You’re not truly at the top of Table Mountain until you go to Maclear’s Beacon. There are a few paths to this point, and I especially enjoyed the one along the edge of the mountain towards Platteklip. This hike is worth the little extra effort and gives you a greater appreciation for the many paths across Table Mountain.

Distance: 2km one-way from Platteklip summit | Elevation gain: nearly flat | Location: On the top of Table Mountain, access from other hiking trails or the aerial cableway
