Devil's Peak
The flat top of Table Mountain dominates the city skyline, but Devil’s Peak towers over Woodstock where I stayed for a few weeks. One early morning, Callum and I hiked up and held on as the wind whipped around the mountain. A few times, he turned around to find me crouching behind rocks and whimpering “I’m afraid of getting blown away.” Despite the crazy wind, I love catching different views of the city from the many vantage points along the mountain.
Distance: 7 km total | Elevation gain: 3,200 ft | Starting & Ending points: On Tafelberg Rd, 3.5 km past Lower Cable Station
